附錄H將電機自動控制軟體分為三級：

• Class A：與設備安全無關的控制功能。例如：室內恆溫器、濕度控制、照明控制、定時計、及開關。
• Class B：受控設備預防不安全操作用控制崆能。例如：洗衣設備的熱斷電與門鎖。
• Class C：預防特殊危害用控制功能。例如自動燃燒器控制及不通風熱水器過熱切斷停止。
  

洗衣機、洗碗機、烘乾機、電冰箱、冷凍機、電子鍋及電爐等家電產品的自動控制軟體必須符合 Class B 的安全性需求。
